Amber - Owner
7 years ago I left a prestigious budding career as a Stockbroker/ Financial Advisor in search of true happiness and I found it on the North Shore Trails with my dog. Soon I was walking groups of dogs and I realized I had found my calling. My passion organically blossomed into "North Shore Dog Walkers". For my amazing staff and I, this is a lifestyle that gives all of us an immense amount of joy and fulfillment. My clients trust me with their most beloved and many have become close friends. That means the world to me!

Alysha - Manager, Dog Walking Expert, Doggy Social Schedule Coordinator and General Boss of Everything Else. Alysha went to SFU to become an elementary teacher but after falling in love with her two dogs while teaching in Korea, she came back with a desire to get out of the classroom and onto the gorgeous North Shore trails. She is passionate about working with dogs and this is truly her dream job. She cannot imagine doing anything else! On the rare day that Alysha isn’t on the trails she may be found raising money for a variety charities, riding her motorcycles and getting settled in her house in New Westminster.

Jae is truly amazing with every aspect of this job. He loves the details involved in taking care of our clients most precious pups, the dogs LOVE him, and even at 7:00am in the morning, he is always cheerful and excited to get out on the trails.

Carissa is a child-care provider during the day, and is our weekend walker and one part of our amazing team who also petsits and housesits. Originally from South Africa, she has been here in North Vancouver for over 15 years where she and her husband live with their cute puppy Kirby (and their cats).





Caitlin moved here from Jasper Alberta, where she had lived as a trail guide for three summers. She never thought anywhere could be as beautiful as Jasper (and having lived all over Canada due to a military father, she has seen many a beautiful place) but she has found North Vancouver to come very close. She loves all animals and grew up with dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, salamanders, rats, birds... Her main focus is horses and dogs, and has a diploma in equine agriculture. Caitlin was thrilled when she found this job and loves being outside all day with the dogs. Her dream is to one day have a ranch for abused animals and children, but she is content at the moment hiking in the mountains with great dogs.


Ashley moved here from Nova Scotia. She often talks about the dogs she walks like most people talk about their children! She is most definitely a dog person, but she has a cat - he makes up for it a bit though, because he really thinks he's a dog.

Our staff training is pretty insane and the only one of its kind. It’s 8-12 weeks of trail safety, dog behavior & obedience, pack leadership skills, leash handling, off leash control and client care. As a team we are constantly growing and developing our knowledge and abilities both in and out of the classroom. Our clients rely on us for our experience and expertise.

Our walkers truly are the best in the business and have a reputation for being super friendly, down to earth amazing dog lovers. As you can see, they LOVE their job!
